Home/Implants and Restorative Dental Care/All-On-4®

If you have multiple areas of missing teeth on the upper and/or lower arches of your mouth, an innovative option called All-On-4 may be an ideal solution. All-On-4 can be particularly beneficial for individuals who are missing most or all of their teeth, providing an alternative to full sets of dental implants and a more stable and secure option when compared to traditional dentures. Our experienced dentists in Scottsdale can create a customized All-On-4 treatment plan designed to meet your needs and restore your teeth with results that look and feel natural.

What Is All-On-4?

All-On-4 is a special type of full arch tooth replacement, a superior option to the traditional denture. The treatment involves a combination of dental implants and a customized set of teeth that are fixed and not removable—like natural teeth!  All-on-4 is designed for patients that do not want a denture but need teeth.

What Are the Benefits of All-On-4 Dental Implants?

There is a variety of potential advantages for patients who choose to replace missing teeth with All-On-4, including:

  • The treatment does not require the use of messy pastes and adhesives for stability.
  • All missing teeth on the upper or lower arches or both can be replaced.
  • The dental implants are designed to be permanent.
  • Additional bone deterioration due to missing teeth can be prevented.
  • Patients can enjoy an enhanced ability to properly speak and chew.
  • There are less food restrictions when compared with traditional dentures.
  • The procedure can significantly improve smile aesthetics.
  • Results typically look, feel, and function more like natural teeth.

During your initial consultation, one of our dentists will evaluate your needs and help you determine whether All-On-4 is the best option for you.

What Should I Expect During the All-On-4 Procedure?

In one appointment, all remaining teeth in the arch are removed and the implants are placed. A transitional set of teeth are attached to the implants and, over a period of several months, the implants fuse to the bone, effectively serving as artificial tooth roots anchoring your new teeth. Once the implants are finished healing, your dentist will work to fabricate a final set of teeth, made out of zirconia, which is strong and more natural-looking.

All-On-4 or All-On-6 dental implants can be effective for a variety of restorative treatments, including:

Upper Arch Replacement

Replacement of all teeth on the top row can be vital to restoring smile aesthetics and improving both chewing and speaking.

Lower Arch Replacement

Lower arch replacement can also enhance speech and the ability to chew properly, as well as help patients avoid changes in facial and jaw symmetry caused by multiple missing teeth on the bottom row.

Full Mouth Restoration

All-On-4 or All-On-6 for full mouth restoration places four or six implants on each arch, both the upper and the lower, to create a comprehensive functional and aesthetic restoration.

How Much Do All-On-4 Dental Implants Cost?

All-On-4 is a team-based procedure. It will involve your dentist, who designs your new smile, and the surgeon who places the implants that will support all of your new teeth. The cost per arch varies between $27,000 – $32,000. Of this, the breakdown is typically $12-15,000 paid to the surgeon (which includes the surgery and the implants) and $15-17,000 paid to the dentist (which includes all of the laboratory fees to make your new teeth, and all associated dental appointments during the process).
