Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Jared Mayer has resided in the Valley for 23 years. His commitment to helping people coupled with his interest in science and working with his hands inspired him to enter the field of dentistry early in his postsecondary studies. As the son of an artist, Dr. Mayer has a keen artistic eye and is passionate about the transformations accomplished through exceptional aesthetic dentistry.

“I strive to achieve optimal, comprehensive, meticulous, and predictable dental care for all of my patients,” Dr. Mayer says. “Providing dental care should be a collaborative process.”
He adds, “Over the past several years, I believe the practice of dentistry – and medicine overall – has deviated from patient-centered care, which values individual patient differences and input. We need to remember that patients are not all the same. They want and need personalized care, and it is our responsibility to provide this.”
Dr. Mayer says patients return to him and continue to send their family and friends to see him because they know he is honest and gentle.
“Nine out of 10 of all of my referrals for the past five years have come from existing patients,” Dr. Mayer says. “I tell patients every day that I will treat them like my family, because they deserve honest options and the best care that I can provide.”
As part of his commitment to providing truly exceptional dental care, Dr. Mayer utilizes state-of-the-art dental technology. He believes some of the greatest breakthroughs in dentistry over the past decade are digital in nature. Digital breakthroughs, such as intraoral scanners and CBCT-integrated software, help Dr. Mayer and the entire Scottsdale Smile team properly diagnose and monitor conditions, as well as execute personalized treatment plans with increased patient comfort in shorter periods of time. Ultimately, Dr. Mayer’s goal is to provide the most effective, efficient, collaborative, and comfortable experience possible.
When not taking care of his patients, Dr. Mayer is a dedicated husband to his wife of 14 years, Katie, and father to their two children, Adam and Abby. The family also has two rescue pups, Lucy and Layla. In his free time, Dr. Mayer enjoys being outdoors, conducting science experiments with his kids, and exercising.
